EnRats UpDATE
NFTs are fun and it brings people together. We first started the Chain Debrief community earlier in August last year with the goal of building a community of crypto enthusiasts to learn and share our knowledge with one another.
Over the past few months, we have also done regular sharing sessions over at our telegram channels (After Hours), as well as hosting blockchain and crypto zoom sessions (WAGMI Series). This is in line with our goal towards onboarding more people into the crypto space.
As we expanded our community, a sub community focusing on NFT was spawned – and we named it NFT Debrief. Overtime, it became a close knitted space where NFT enthusiasts can come in and discuss all things NFT – what mint we are all apeing in, which projects are we going to camp overnight and try to mint, and of course to collectively cheer when NFT floor prices are going up.
To us, some of the more memorable mints were the Space Doodles on Luna, Loaded Lions on Cronos, and even recently Phantabear on Ethereum. Whether we were in it for the art or the money, we had a lot of fun minting these collections, and the NFT Debrief has allowed us to enjoy friendship and excitement through shared ownership. We hope that it will remain this way for a long time.
While designing for our NFT collection, community is at the heart of everything we do, and we want to make sure that community members who have been with us since the beginning will get a chance to be our genesis NFT holder.
We also wanted to ensure that our early holders who are building our community with us enjoy the benefits too as we grow – hence we decided to launch a small collection of 555. As we’ve mentioned in our NFT announcement podcast, we are worried that there may not be enough demand or people buying our collection, since we have only just started our journey.
However, we have received more support than we initially planned for. In just two days of announcement, our website waitlist has hit over 500+, and there are people who dm-ed us saying that they really want to mint and that this is their first ever mint. Marketing has not begun for us and we are very thankful with the overwhelming support we received.
As such, after discussing internally, as well as discussing with some of our community members, we will be increasing the number of available NFTs for mint to 888 NFTs. We still want to make sure that the collection remains exclusive, at the same time include a bigger genesis community which we had largely underestimated.
With the slight increase in supply, what this means is that we are able to ensure that more people will be able to participate in the whitelist and that you don’t have to wait for the public sale to mint (no gas war). With the increase in supply too, we are able to have more holders that are vested in our ecosystem to help us grow Chain Debrief together.
The Chain Debrief team is working everyday to accrue as much value to our NFT holders as possible, and this will not be our only NFT collection. Our work has just started, and WAGMI.
